Save the polar bears! Stop global warming!

Hi everybody. This is my first blog post of hopefully many. I am not a member of the eco sisters. Instead I am an eco author meaning I write stories about global and environmental issues. Hope you enjoy ;D

Once upon a time there was a family of polar bears. This family had been living in the arctic for generations. Their snow white fur was perfect for camouflaging in the icy plains and their powerful legs made them amazing at swimming and running. They loved their home and would rather live there than anywhere else in the world. One morning in spring, the Little polar bear woke up from hibernation. As no one else was up, she decided to go out of her cave and stretch their legs. To her horror some of her families hunting ground had completely disappeared! Scared and worried, she went back into the cave and woke up Mummy polar bear. Mummy polar bear was not amused at being woken up this early.

"But Mummy polar bear! Some of our hunting ground has completely disappeared!"

To her surprise Mummy polar bear just sighed. She told Little polar bear to just ignore it for the time being. So little polar bear ignored it and tried to carry on with her day as normal. However she could not help wondering what had become of the hunting ground. When Little polar bear woke up the next morning she was excited. Big Brother polar bear had promised to take her seal hunting today! Before long, she and Big Brother polar bear had left the cave intent on catching some seals but to their surprise another chunk of the hunting ground had disappeared! This was the last straw for Little polar bear who rushed into the cave and demanded Mummy polar bear tell her what was going on. Mummy polar bear sighed again and said Little polar bear had a right to know. She told Little polar bear that this was happening because of something called global warming. She told her that global warming was the name given to the heating up of the world caused by an increase in greenhouse gases. She said the humans were to blame for this and if they didn't stop all the ice caps would melt and the sea levels would rise.

Little polar bear's story is the story of polar bears everywhere and if we don't stop global warming soon it will be too late for families like Little polar bear's.
